My twin sister is the world’s best. We shared my first child. Our best moment is when she delivered her first baby within 24 hours of me having my second!
The best momment in my life with my sister has not happened yet. You see my half sister from my father side was born while my mom and dad were still married. So you can imagine all the drama attached to that situation which split the family apart. I always wanted to have a sister to be my twin, my companion, my best friend. I have a great brother and we are really close but I still day dreamed about a sister. I even had an imaginary friend when I was little. So perhaps the day my dad told me I had a sister he was taking me to meet was the best momment in my life. He got us together several times and as kids we bonded but the adults kept us apart. We saw each other maybe once a year until we grew apart. She actually bonded more with my brother and still keeps in touch. I think it was easier to bond with him because he looks like my dad than with me since i look a lot like my mom. She did well for herself, went to college, found a great guy and is living her life away from her family influences. I wish we were closer but I’m happy for her.
I’d like to take this opportunity to thank God (and my parents) for giving me such an amazing, loving, trustworthy and adorable sister. Sis, I love you!
My sister, Tracey is remarkable and my “Hero”. The best moment in my life with my sister was when she got to hold my granddaughter for the first time. It justt melted my heart to know how much my sister has missed out of not having children of her do to medical issues. She was all teary eyed and her heart just melted because my granddaughter favors her.
At my sister’s wedding, I could not present my speech for her since I felt I am loosing her for somebody else and since she is very precious to me, it was hard to take it although I was very much happy for her. She was my life companion and best friend through all our ups and downs as siblings in a shattered family.
My sister, Katie, has always been there for me, but never so much as when my husband was deployed to Iraq. I was having a terrible time, and she made sure she checked on me every day/night, and got me out of the house often, even though I wanted to stay in and cry. She made sure I didn’t have a chance to get too depressed, and I am forever grateful to her for that. She made all the difference!
Every day is a cherished day with my sister Kim..she lays entrapped in a world of her own .A face full of tears and pain she fights for her rights to survive and recapture a past we once knew. After both of us got married, we were busy with our lives and not much involved with each other. It’s when my second daughter was born, she visitied us with her 2 kids from US to Canada, It was such a joy to re-unite both families especially for the kids who have absolutely no cousins in these native countries. The week that we spend together were the best for me !
I have 3 Sisters who live close to me and we have the best time together. We are their for one another when we are sad and can be happy together. in fact one of my sisters is having her birthday and we are having a 70’s theme party. We had the best time looking for our outfits, going to vintage shops. I love my sisters and am so glad they are a part of my life.
Just before my older sister’s wedding, we discovered that in fact she was my half sister and guess what, it didn’t make any difference. Nurture can be stronger than nature.
She is like my mother, a friend. You name it any thing. You can always count on her for anything to share whether it’s a happiness or sorrow. She is a true loving sister I always admire her the way she dress up talk and her love, caring and affection she shows to other people and specially to me.

I am the kid sister and was always treated like one by my elder sister. She was always the more emotional one, more mature and also more sentimental. But i realised i was going to miss her the day she got married. I remember that night, when we hugged, she was leaving for her new house, she was smiling, happy for her marriage, and I was in tears. Of course i was really happy for her, but i was in tears because i was not going to share my room with her anymore. She means a lot to me.

Best moments with sisters used to be in the growing-up-together times, although we may not have known it then but now, its in the telephone calls, the occasional lunches, the shopping sprees… all the shared times.
My sister Sandy, is an RN who helped deliver many babies. She is the calmest, most nuturing person. She was recently diagnosed with early onset dementia ,and at 50 had to shift from: care of others to self care. The day she found out, she gave US a hug. She is my hero.
When we were in 8th grade, we were both given an assigment, on different days to write about someone we thought was a real friend. I wrote about her and she wrote about me. We had no idea that we had written about eachother until our teachers gave us our essays back with a letter to our mom telling her how sweet it was. 12 years later we still have eachothers letters even though she now lives in Texas and I still live in Chicago 🙂

The best moment with my sister is when she realized how much family is very important in our lives, when she suddenly hold my hands and say “I love you, I know I’m gonna miss you” because I was going to study abroad.
Running through the sprinklers; laughing and sliding on the slip and slide. ; fighting over clothes’, crying over boyfriends and rejoicing when my niece and nephew were born. Love you.

We picked her up from the orphanage in Ft. Worth, she cried so much, I thought she had a broken heart; from that moment on she was my sister.

an incident at the mall going shopping. We was laughing so hard for 20 minutes when some band played and we starting to dance to the tunes.

My sister moved to Perth in January 2001.I flew here for one week to celebrate her birthday in march that year as a suprise.She was shocked but happy.
