This orchid, which has an obvious resemblance to monkeys, comes from the south-eastern Ecuadorian and Peruvian cloud forests. These forests are at an elevation of 1000 to 2000 meters hence not too many people have sighted this exotic species of orchids.

This Orchid looks like it has a little bird’s head guarding the nectar on the flower. If you happen to visit Southwest Balkans, Greece, Turkey, Iran & Iraq, you may spot it.
