New Orleans

Hundreds of people once died here in a tidal wave, that’s reason enough for it to feature in this list. The creepy Manchac Swamp, complete with old trees and wispy Spanish moss makes this place stand out, in quite a terrifying way. This city also has a reputation for voodoo.

Estes Park, Colorado, United States

The Stanley Hotel, that once inspired famed horror novelist, Stephen King to write his terrifying masterpiece, The Shining, stands tall here. Isn’t that reason enough for you to visit this spooky place? The hotel is believed to be haunted by at least a handful people, the founder of the hotel included.

New York City

This city, known for its amazing celebrations, hosts a great Halloween party and after party every year. Costumes, parades and giant puppets are a common sight. They say that you may bump into the ghost of Edgar Allen Poe on the ghost walk.

Sleepy Hollow

If the legend around the Headless Horseman hasn’t disturbed you enough, you may want to visit, the Sleepy Hollow Cemetery, especially during this time of the year. You would be excited to know that there still are reports of the Headless Horseman at cemeteries all around the area.

Dracula’s Castle, Romania

If you’re a real Halloween fanatic, loosen up your budget a little, and a real Halloween fanatic, you might as well pack your bags and head to Dracula’s Castle in Romania. Transylvania is quite conveniently or rather inconveniently close to the infamous Bran Castle. The castle is open to the public and if you’re lucky the ghost of Vlad The Impaler pay appear himself, to give you a personal visit.

3 Easy Steps To Make A Floral Halloween Centerpiece

Set the mood right for Halloween with this easy-to-do Halloween centerpiece.

Materials needed:
– 1 Pumpkin
– 1 Knife
– Flowers of your choice, preferably gerberas, cushion mums, red daisies.
– huckleberry, salal yellow oak leaves and artificial fall berries to accentuate the arrangement.

Step 1. Get a fresh pumpkin that is at least a foot in size.

Step 2. Cut the top of the pumpkin and scoop out the seeds.

Step 3. Fill the pumpkin with water halfway and then add the suggested flowers, or the flowers of your choice. Put the pumpkin’s top over the flowers, at an angle and your Halloween centerpiece is ready!

Tip: For a secure arrangement, you can put a floral foam (soaked in water) inside of the pumpkin and then stick your flowers in it. Use an artificial pumpkin, that way your arrangement will last long.
